Opportunity Snapshot

• Location: Mason City, Iowa
• Contract Type: Emergency Medicine Locum Tenens
• Start Date: ASAP – Ongoing
• Schedule: 7–10 shifts per month

Facility Overview
Regional medical center serving northern Iowa

• 35,000 annual ED visits
• Level III Trauma Center
• Full-service hospital with specialty backup
• Established emergency medicine program

This facility functions as a regional hub, providing comprehensive emergency care with access to specialty services when needed.

Shift Structure
Physicians must be flexible across multiple shifts:

• 7:00 AM – 7:00 PM
• 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM
• 5:00 PM – 2:00 AM
• 7:00 PM – 7:00 AM

Swing and night shift availability required.
Clinical Environment
Physicians will work alongside a collaborative care team including:

• APP coverage: 11:00 AM – 9:00 PM
• Support staff and nursing team
• Efficient patient flow with moderate acuity

This ED offers a balanced mix of cases with manageable admissions and strong operational support.

Candidate Requirements

• Board Certified Emergency Medicine
• Active Iowa license or IMLC Letter of Qualification required
• BLS, ACLS, PALS required
• ATLS preferred
• Ability to work nights and swing shifts
