This position starts out at $18.05 and up, depending on experience. This is a seasonal position and will be laid off in the winter and will return in the Spring.
Summary
Drives Ready Mix truck to deliver concrete mix to job sites.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
- Drives truck into position to receive load.
- Adjusts drum revolutions to improve concrete quality.
- Drives truck to location for unloading including sidewalks, basements, roads, etc.
- Assembles concrete chute.
- Releases concrete down truck chute into area to be poured with concrete.
- Cleans truck after delivery to prevent concrete from hardening in mixer and on truck.
- Performs truck inspections to ensure proper operating condition of all truck parts such as lights, wipers, heater, air conditioner etc.
- Maintains fluid levels and tire pressure.
Certificates, Licenses, Registrations
- Class "B" CDL with air brakes endorsement required.
- Class "A" CDL desirable.
- DOT medical card required.
Other Qualifications
- Must be available to work overtime hours during the construction season.

Certain job tasks may require you to wear a half mask respirator in which you will need to meet the osha guidelines based on 1910.134(g)(1)(i).

While performing the duties of this Job, the employee is frequently exposed to moving mechanical parts and outside weather conditions. The employee is occasionally exposed to wet and/or humid conditions; fumes or airborne particles and toxic or caustic chemicals. The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate.
Typical hours during production season are 7am-5pm, M-F. Occasional Saturdays. Hours can vary depending on weather and customer demand.
