Roles & Responsibilities

• Conduct thorough mental health assessments and diagnostic evaluations
• Deliver individual, group, and family therapy using evidence-based approaches
• Develop and monitor treatment plans that promote measurable progress
• Collaborate with custody and multidisciplinary teams to coordinate care
• Perform risk assessments and intervene to ensure patient and facility safety
• Document assessments, treatment, and progress notes accurately and timely
• Support continuity of care and assist with appropriate community referrals

Qualifications

• Licensed Psychologist preferred; LMFT, LCSW, or LPCC will be accepted per job notes
• Active license to practice (California licensure expected for work in-state)
• Experience in mental health assessment and therapy in institutional or clinical settings preferred
• Strong clinical documentation and risk assessment skills
• Ability to work Monday-Thursday daytime schedule and collaborate with multidisciplinary teams

Knowledge & Skills

• Solid knowledge of mental health diagnostics, treatment planning, and evidence-based therapies
• Skilled in crisis intervention and risk assessment in high-acuity settings
• Comfortable working in a correctional or institutional environment
• Excellent written and verbal communication for clear clinical documentation and teamwork
• Ability to build rapport with a diverse patient population
