Job Summary:
The Cardiac Catheterization Laboratory Technologist position is located in San Antonio, Texas. This role involves providing technical and patient support during cardiac catheterization procedures, communicating continuously with physicians regarding patient conditions, operating all equipment safely and correctly, and assisting the physician during procedures. The position supports the cardiac cath lab team through preparedness and participation in quality improvement activities.
Job Details:
- Schedule: Days shift, 12 hours per shift, minimum of 36 hours per week
- Required Qualifications: Certification as a Cardiovascular Technologist or equivalent, relevant educational background, Tennessee (TN) license, and at least 1 year of experience working in a cardiac catheterization laboratory
- Preferred Qualifications: Experience with electronic fetal monitoring and proficiency in cardiac lab equipment
- Float: Float: Float rotation may be required
- Additional Information: The Trainee badges are sent to the healthcare provider's human resources department and distributed to the facility's HR office representing the assigned location. Scrub gowns are in Galaxy Blue. Trainee staff should contact the designated coordinator to set up Point of Care training and Restraint competency testing. The cath lab technician will be responsible for assisting physicians during procedures, ensuring equipment readiness, obtaining supplies, and participating in performance improvement activities.
