Starting Wage: $12.00 - $13.00 Per Hour Assemblers are responsible to the Shop Foreman to assemble and handle bulk materials to build subassemblies in accordance with the policies and procedures of the company. It is their responsibility to assist in achieving the division's aims and goals while operating within the guidelines of the company. The responsibilities set forth, but not limited to, are: Keep all materials, tools, and equipment in an orderly fashion demonstrating proper care. Keep work area clean and safe. Understand and obey all safety requirements. Follow specific directions. Perform a variety of duties which may often change. Repeat tasks of short or long duration according to a set procedure. Wear personal protective equipment as required in Safety Handbook. Responsibilities: Prepares work to be accomplished by studying assembly instructions, blueprint specifications, and parts lists; gathering parts, subassemblies, tools, and materials. Positions parts and subassemblies by using templates or reading measurements. Assembles components by examining connections for correct fit; fastening parts and subassemblies. Verifies specifications by measuring completed component. Resolves assembly problems by altering dimensions to meet specifications; notifying supervisor to obtain additional resources. Keeps equipment operational by completing preventive maintenance requirements; following manufacturer's instructions; troubleshooting malfunctions; calling for repairs. Maintains safe and clean working environment by complying with procedures, rules, and regulations. Assists with supply of inventory by checking stock to determine inventory level; anticipating needed supplies; placing and expediting orders for supplies; verifying receipt of supplies. Conserves resources by using equipment and supplies as needed to accomplish job results. Documents actions by completing production and quality forms. Contributes to team effort by accomplishing related results as needed. Skills/Qualifications: Comprehend readingRead and interpret manuals, blueprints, specifications, written instructions, assembly instructions, parts lists Ability to perform equipment maintenance as directed by Management Practice and comprehend safe work procedures as outlined in Company Safety Handbook Practice and comprehend quality focus as determined by Management Must have the ability to use power tools Exercise judgment and decision making Positively identify colors of wire Bend conduit by hand or with automated equipment Operate two handed tools and equipment as required Ability to read and measure with a tape measure, rule, or mechanical counter Working Conditions: Wear personal protective equipment as required in Safety Handbook Operate lifts of any kind Able to work 40 hours per week, overtime as required, night shifts as needed Physical Function: Hear and see well (either naturally or with correction).Must be able to bend, stoop, squat, crawl, climb, kneel, balance, push, pull and reach over head. Lift objects weighing up to 100 pounds, with frequent lifting and carrying of objects weighing up to 50 pounds. Constantly move on feet. Climb ladders(all types). Responsible for securing tools and materials from storage areas to complete assigned tasks. Repetitive use of arms, hands and fingers.
