Responsibilities

With oversight and direction from the Program Director(s) and GME Director, the Lead Program Coordinator is responsible for the operational functions of the accredited GME training programs.  Will oversee assigned staff to ensure smooth operations for the department. The position requires a comprehensive and detailed understanding of the national accreditation policies and hospital policies, as well as a high degree of initiative and independent judgment.  The Program Coordinator should be organized in planning, assisting with maintaining continuing accreditation, recruiting of trainees, projects, analyzing and maintaining databases, communicating with faculty and trainees regarding a range of issues and managing internal and external program relations. Should have working knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint and GME databases. 

Qualifications

EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE, TRAINING

  • Three (3) to five (5) years of Graduate Medical Education (GME) and/or Undergraduate Medical Education (UME) experience required.
  • ACGME experience required.   
  • TAGME certification encouraged but not required.   
  • Experience with New Innovations, ERAS preferred.

The exact starting compensation to be offered will be determined at the time of selecting an applicant for hire, in which a wide range of factors will be considered, including but not limited to, skillset, years of applicable experience, education, credentials and licensure.
