As an OSUP employee, you will be eligible for these various benefits depending on your employment status./p h2Responsibilities/h2 pstrongWhat Will You Do?/strong/p ul liEnsure that tissue specimens are optimally processes, oriented and embedded appropriately(according to tissue type)/li liPerform routine microtomy with both a high level of speed and quality/li liPrepares stains and other reagents for routine staining/li liEnsures that all chemical wastes are disposed of in the appropriate manner/li liPerform routine daily maintenance on laboratory equipment including proper documentation/li liTroubleshoots both mechanical and human errors or malfunctions/li liMeets quality control and proficiency standards as required by regulatory agencies/li liParticipates in CQI monitors and collects data as needed/li liParticipates in continuing education/li liStock supplies, maintains inventory of equipment and supplies following proper procedures/li liAttendance, promptness, professionalism, cooperatives with co-workers and supervisors, and politeness to customers, vendors, and couriers/li liOther duties or special projects as assigned/li /ul h2Qualifications/h2 pstrongWhat are we looking for in our next new hire?/strong/p ul liGraduate of a school of Histology with an HT (ASCP) certification or equivalent./li liBachelor's degree in biological sciences preferred./li li2 or more years previous experience in a histology laboratory desired./li liMust possess a strong work ethic with attendance and punctuality that is documented./li /ul pPreferences:/p ul liExperience in other areas of pathology a plus./li /ul p /p h2Pay Range/h2USD $27.56 - USD $41.33 /Hr.
