Job Opportunity – Nuclear Medicine Technologist – New Mexico

Start Date: July 20, 2026
Location: Albuquerque, New Mexico
Compensation: Details provided to qualified applicants
Schedule: 12-hour shifts, 36-48 hours per week; minimal call coverage (weekday evenings and weekends as needed)

Highlights:

  • Work at a 554-bed Level I Trauma Center and Teaching Hospital with advanced nuclear medicine technology
  • Perform comprehensive diagnostic imaging and therapeutic procedures including PET/CT, SPECT/CT, and radiopharmaceutical therapies
  • Utilize state-of-the-art equipment: 4 general rooms, 1 SPECT/CT, and 2 PET/CT scanners
  • Diverse case mix serving all age groups from neonates to geriatrics across inpatient and outpatient settings
  • Cerner charting system with free on-site parking
  • 13-week assignment with guaranteed 40 hours per week; first-time travelers welcome

Requirements:

  • Minimum 1 year of Nuclear Medicine experience required
  • ARRT (N) or NMTCB certification required
  • BLS certification required (RQI certifications not accepted)
  • New Mexico State Nuclear Medicine License required
  • CT licensure preferred (may be obtained upon hire with facility support)
  • PET license preferred
  • Proficiency in IV starts, phlebotomy, and handling/disposal of radioactive materials
  • Experience with diagnostic procedures including cardiac imaging, bone scans, HIDA, renograms, SPECT/CT, and PET/CT scanning
  • Must reside outside 100-mile radius from facility
  • COVID vaccination optional; flu vaccine required (exemptions available)
