The Department of Animal Resources is seeking a reliable, dependable, self-motivated, and responsible individual for an Administrative Budget Assistant opening. The Administrative Budget Assistant provides support to the Senior Operations Manager, performing a variety of accounting duties (e.g. financial transactions, invoice reconciliation, and other accounting and administrative activities).

RESPONSIBILITIES AND DUTIES
- Assist with preparation, monitoring, and reconciliation of department’s billing system for collecting revenue from the services provided to researchers.
- Process financial transactions in Workday such as purchase requisitions, invoices, credits, and other related billable financial transactions in AOPS.
- Reconcile vendor statements and pay invoices.
- Manage accounts payable and receivable processing, including reconciling vendor statements and ensuring timely invoice payment.
- Assist with audits and respond to internal and external financial inquiries.
- Provide administrative support such as document management, correspondence with researchers, and maintaining accurate financial records.
- Perform other related duties as assigned or requested.
Minimum Field of Expertise:
- Minimum Education: Associate’s degree or combined experience/education as substitute for minimum education
- Minimum Experience: 1 Year
- Minimum Field of Expertise: related bookkeeping/accounting experience. Knowledge of bookkeeping/accounting practices and principles. Ability to use a variety of bookkeeping/accounting software applications, such as databases, spreadsheets, etc.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Preferred Experience: 2 years
- Preferred Field of Expertise: University accounting experience

The hourly range for this position is $25.00-27.70.
