Location: Remote – Torboy Mine Camp (Fly-in/Fly-out from Spokane or regional hub)
Schedule: 14 days on / 14 days off rotation (on-site housing & meals provided)
Pay: $28–$35/hour (DOE) + overtime + remote perks
About the Role
We are seeking an experienced, highly organized Remote Camp Manager / Kitchen Supervisor to lead all aspects of food service operations at a 100-person remote mining camp in Northern Washington. You will manage a high-volume kitchen that produces three meals per day plus snacks, ensure compliance with food safety standards, supervise staff, maintain inventory and deliveries, and keep morale high through quality meals and exceptional leadership.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead day-to-day kitchen and camp catering operations for up to 100 residents.
- Supervise, train, and evaluate 10–12 kitchen staff effectively in a remote, rotational environment.
- Plan, organize, and oversee preparation of three meals per day plus snacks in high volume.
- Maintain strict adherence to HACCP, Washington State food safety codes, and sanitation standards.
- Manage inventory, food ordering, weekly deliveries from Spokane, stock control and storage.
- Maintain kitchen facilities and equipment in excellent condition and ensure compliance with safety regulations.
- Foster a positive team culture, encourage professional growth, and support employee engagement.
Required Qualifications
- Proven leadership experience in kitchen management or foodservice supervision, preferably in high-volume or remote settings.
- Current Food Worker Card and ServSafe Manager certification (or able to obtain within 30 days).
- Strong knowledge of HACCP standards and Washington food safety regulations.
- Excellent communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to thrive in isolated, rotational (14 on/14 off) environments and lead in challenging conditions.
- Must pass background check and drug screen prior to hire.
Preferred Qualifications
- Prior remote camp kitchen management or mining camp catering experience.
- Experience coordinating logistics for deliveries and inventory in remote settings.
- Strong mentorship and staff development skills.
