Description
American Traveler is seeking an experienced travel RN for a Labor & Delivery position requiring Level 1 trauma experience, 5+ years of nursing experience, and night shift availability.
Details
- Labor & Delivery unit in a hospital setting
- Night shift schedule
- 36 hours per week, three 12-hour shifts
- 13-week contract
Requirements
- Active RN license issued by the Oklahoma State Board of Nursing, or a current multistate compact RN license (eNLC)
- Current certifications required (AHA only): BLS, ACLS, Intermediate Fetal Monitoring, and NRP Advanced Provider or NRP Instructor
- Minimum of 5 years of nursing experience required
- Minimum of 2 years of travel nursing experience required
- Level 1 trauma experience required
- Associate's Degree from an accredited school of nursing required; BSN or MSN preferred
- Full DOB required for consideration
Additional Information
- Assumes responsibility for an assigned group of patients, documenting responses to nursing interventions and prescribed medical treatments
- Obtains and monitors physiological data, initiates and monitors IV infusions and blood products, and administers medications as prescribed
- Assists physicians during examinations and minor diagnostic procedures
- Interacts with patients and families regarding care plans, hospital procedures, and discharge planning
- Delegates tasks to support staff as appropriate
- Candidates must reside more than 50 miles from the facility to be eligible for this position
- Travelers who have previously worked at this facility may return after a 6-month separation period, and extensions are limited to one time for a maximum total of 26 weeks
- Compliance with onboarding requirements (background check, drug screen, medical requirements) must begin immediately upon acceptance of an offer
