Essential Responsibilities
Perform safe and efficient maintenance, repair, and troubleshooting of crushing and processing equipment to support production targets at the Borealis surface mine.
Maintain and service crushing systems and components including jaw/cone crushers, pulleys, belts, conveyors, bearings, gearboxes, chutes, and liners.
Perform welding and cutting tasks asrequired, includingproficiencyin MIG and Stick welding processes, as well as OxyAcetylene cutting.
Completepre-trip/ walkaround inspections and daily Field Level Hazard Assessments (FLHA), ensuring hazards areidentifiedand controlled prior to work.
Read and interpret diagrams, schematics, and service manuals todeterminework procedures and diagnose mechanical issues.
Perform scheduled, preventative, and predictive maintenance (including vibration analysis), and align, test, and adjust equipment to ensure reliable operation.
Maintainaccuratemaintenance records, report and log equipment concerns, and communicate effectively with operations and maintenance teams.
Qualifications
Demonstrated experiencemaintainingequipment in an industrial or surface mining environment, with crushing plant experience strongly preferred.
Hands-on experience with crusher maintenance, conveyors, and rotating equipment in aproductiondrivensetting.
Ability to work independently with minimal supervision while collaborating closely with site operations and maintenance crews.
Ability to meet all site accessrequirementsincluding respirator fit testing whererequired
Successful completion of preemployment drug and alcohol testing.
MSHA Part 48 (Metal/Non-Metal) certificationpreferredbut training would be made available.
Work Conditions
Various schedules working 10-12hourdayswith the potential for a night shiftwith overtimeafter40 hours/week.
