TheConstructionEngineer Isupportsthe project teambyprocessing,maintaining,and updating logs, instructions, and submittalsnecessary to construct the project on time, within budget, and tothequality specifiedby customer goalsand needs.This role will sit primarily on the job site, with occasional travel to offices for training, meetings,etc.
- Ensures contract document logs aremaintainedand updated as needed
- Accurately processes and distributessubmittals and RFIs
- Maintains material inventory logs for self-perform scopes
- Utilizes construction management platformsto support field reporting, labor tracking, and equipment logs
- Participates in and writes notes, instructions, or minutes from meetings that clearly communicate discussion agreements, decisions, and action
- Seeksto understand customer goals and needsby proactively andconsistently lookingfor ways to support them
- Ensures planned deadlines are met
- Develops industry relationships and expandsprofessional networks that have potential to generate opportunities for Next 150
- Assistsin coordinating the field execution of self-perform work, supporting craft labor operations, materiallogistics, equipment deployment, and field productivitytracking to ensure safe, high-quality, and efficient project delivery

EXPERIENCE/EDUCATION
- Bachelor's orMaster's Degree in Construction Managementor similar field
- 0-1 years with a large trade contractor, construction management, or general contractor organization
- OSHA 10-hour certified required; OSHA 30-hour preferred
- Estimating experience and union experience is preferred but notrequired
- Or equivalent combination of education and experience
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS & ABILITIES
- Continuallyseeksto understand customer goals and needswhileactingwith a sense of urgencytomeetcustomer needs
- Ability to work in a team-based environment
- Proficient in Microsoft programsSome knowledge of commercial/institutional construction project
- Knowledge ofconstruction management software
