NSC Staffing is seeking Maintenance Electricians of various journeyperson levels to perform installations, repairs, and maintenance on electrical systems. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of electrical codes and ship nomenclature, along with experience in both commercial and residential electrical work.

Key Responsibilities:

• Perform electrical installations, repairs, and maintenance in accordance with diagrams, drawings, schematics, and the National Electrical Code.
• Understand ship nomenclature, including compartment listings, identification of locations, and vessel navigation.
• Execute controller installation and repairs.
• Plan installations and create accurate material lists.
• Demonstrate proper use of electrical test equipment, including multimeters, amp probes, and meggers.
• Work with phone and data cabling.
• Operate power tools, drill presses, band saws, grinders, and other equipment efficiently and effectively.

Journeyperson Levels:

• JOURNEYPERSON 4: Requires limited supervision and is capable of assisting others.
• JOURNEYPERSON 3: Requires minimum supervision.
• JOURNEYPERSON 2: Requires supervision and demonstrates the ability to progress for advancement.
• JOURNEYPERSON 1: Requires close supervision and demonstrates the ability to progress for advancement.

Qualifications:

• Proven experience in commercial and residential electrical work.
• Proficiency in interpreting electrical diagrams, drawings, and schematics.
• Familiarity with the National Electrical Code.
• Ability to plan and execute electrical installations.
• Experience with electrical test equipment (multimeter, amp probe, megger).
• Some experience with phone and data cabling is preferred.
• Must be able to operate various power tools and electrical equipment.
