Description

American Traveler is hiring a travel RN for a Pediatric ICU position requiring at least 1 year of experience, Level 1 facility experience, and AHA-issued certifications including PALS.

Details

  • Full-time position in a Pediatric ICU (PICU) at a hospital setting
  • Night shift schedule, 5 days per week, 8 hours per day (40 hours/week)
  • 13-week contract
  • CVICU and NICU experience is preferred

Requirements

  • Active RN license issued by the Oklahoma State Board of Nursing or a current multistate compact (eNLC) license required
  • Current BLS and PALS certifications from the American Heart Association (AHA) required — AHA-issued certifications only
  • Minimum of 1 year of RN experience required
  • Level 1 facility experience required
  • Associate's Degree in Nursing (ADN) from an accredited program required; BSN preferred
  • Basic computer skills required
  • Candidates must reside more than 50 miles from the facility to be eligible for this position

Additional Information

  • Responsibilities include assuming care for an assigned group of patients, documenting patient responses to interventions, administering medications, and monitoring physiological data
  • Collaborates with physicians during examinations and minor diagnostic procedures, and initiates and monitors IV infusions and blood products
  • Communicates care plans to patients and families and delegates tasks to support staff as appropriate
  • Candidates who have previously worked at this facility must have a 6-month separation period after 26 weeks of total tenure before being eligible for a new contract
  • Compliance requirements (background check, drug screen, medical requirements) are strictly enforced and must be initiated immediately upon offer acceptance
