Description
American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a Labor & Delivery position at an acute care hospital in California, requiring a minimum of 2 years of L&D and postpartum experience along with Epic proficiency.
Details
- 13-week contract at an acute care hospital (277 staffed beds) in Santa Rosa, CA
- Labor & Delivery unit with a 1:3 patient ratio
- Night shift schedule: 3x12-hour shifts, 7:00 PM – 7:00 AM; 4x12 schedule available upon request
- Epic EMR required
- Scrubs are provided for L&D staff
- Floating between like units and across all facilities within the state is required
Requirements
- Active CA RN license required; pending licenses not accepted
- Required certifications: BLS, ACLS, NRP, and AWHONN Intermediate Fetal Monitoring
- AWHONN Advanced Fetal Monitoring certification preferred
- Minimum 2 years of Labor & Delivery and postpartum experience required — this is a hard requirement
- Epic EMR experience required
- At least 2 supervisory references covering 1 year of employment within the last 3 years in a comparable specialty/setting
- SSN and DOB required for consideration
Additional Information
- First-time travelers are not eligible for this position
- Local candidates are not accepted
- All requested time off (RTO) must be submitted at time of application; post-offer RTO requests may be denied
- Former permanent staff must wait at least 3 months before returning as a traveler and must not reside within 50 miles of the facility
- Orientation is 36 hours
- Refusal to float may result in assignment termination
