About this job
General Laborer duties may include cleaning job areas, loading and assembly of products as well as using a variety of tools, power tools, grinders and forklifts.
Job Responsibilities:
- Execute daily work instructions received from shop manager/supervisor in a timely manner
- Dissemble steel pieces from stamped or laser cut sheets and sort according to order
- Accurately read a tape measure and micrometer
- Execute daily work instructions received from shop manager/department lead in a timely manner
- Execute daily work instructions received form shop manager/department lead in a timely manner
- Able to work independently through given instruction or as an active member of a team
- Manual dexterity to use handheld tools and shop machines
- Dissemble steel pieces from stamped or laser cut sheets and sort according to order
- Keep manufacturing areas free of debris and dirt and set out/put away tools
- Safely operate a forklift handle materials and complete work
Qualifications:
- Great work ethic
- Detail oriented and self-motivated
- Experience in general labor/manufacturing and/or metal fabrication
- Ability to understand blueprints documents
- Must be able to understand and read written instructions and/or directions in work related documents
- Manual dexterity to use handheld tools and shop machines
- Stamina to remain on feet completing various tasks
- Ability to handle physical workload
- Knowledge of simple operations in windows based computer environment, preferred knowledge of JobBOSS
- Forklift operation
- PEMM operation and set up experience
