How you'll help us Keep Climbing (overview & key responsibilities) As a UX Research & Experience Design Co‑Op within Delta’s Flight Training Automation organization, you will support the design and continuous improvement of crew training products. Over the course of three alternating rotations, you will develop increasingly independent ownership across UX research, workflow visualization, and experience design. **Key Responsibilities** **User Experience Research** + Assistwith user interviews, contextual inquiries, and usability testing acrosspilot and instructor training journeys. + Helpdevelop and analyze surveys, task observations, and benchmark studies toidentify training‑specific usability needs. + Supportresearch documentation, including research plans, discussion guides,findings summaries, and opportunity statements. **Interaction, UI, and Experience Design** + Createwireframes, user flows, mockups, and low‑ to mid‑fidelity prototypes inFigma to training use cases. + Collaboratewith product managers, engineers, training SMEs, and operations partnersto iterate designs based on feedback. **Process & Experience Documentation** + Documentend‑to‑end workflows for instructor‑led, simulator‑based, and digitaltraining experiences. + Maintainorganized documentation that supports transparency and alignment acrossIT, Training Operations, and business stakeholders. **Design Thinking & Collaboration (OptionalEnhancement)** + Supportdiscovery workshops, empathy mapping sessions, and problem‑framingactivities using Delta’s design‑thinking methodologies. + Translateworkshop outcomes into actionable artifacts such as opportunity backlogs,journey maps, and solution concepts. + Workclosely with cross‑functional teams to understand training environments,instructor workflows, and operational constraints. What you need to succeed (minimum qualifications) + Working as a Co-op does not guarantee a full-time opportunity upon graduation. This position is intended to provide you with educational, and professional work experience to prepare you for the workforce. + This position requires you to work for 3 alternating semesters. You cannot actively take any courses (inclusive of online or in-person) and work as a Co-op at the same time, which may delay your graduation by 1-2 semesters. + Students must be able to complete 3 alternating rotations in Atlanta, GA in line with the below schedule: + Fall 2026 - 1st rotation + Summer 2027 - 2nd rotation + Spring 2028 - 3rd rotation + Enrolledin a bachelor’s program in Industrial Design, Information Science, or arelated field. + Eligiblefor a 3‑term Co‑Op rotation through your university. + Foundationalunderstanding of user‑centered design, research methods, and accessibilityprinciples. + Familiaritywith UX tools such as Figma, FigJam, Miro, or similar. + Strongcommunication skills and the ability to translate observations into clearinsights and visuals. + Curious,proactive, collaborative, and comfortable working in complex operationalenvironments. + Atleast 18 years old and legally authorized to work in the United States. What will give you a competitive edge (preferred qualifications) + Experienceconducting user research or usability testing (class projects welcome). + Exposureto enterprise UX or operational UX environments. + Interestin improving pilot and instructor training experiences at scale. + Strongstorytelling abilities - turning data into digestible narratives orvisuals.
