Border International is hiring a Medium/Heavy-Duty Truck Technician in Las Cruces, New Mexico!/strong/p pThestrongMedium/Heavy-Duty Truck Technician/strongis responsible for repairing and maintaining diesel and gasoline engine industrial trucks according to dealership and factory specifications./p pstrongJob Type:/strongFull-Time / Las Cruces, NMbr / strongPay:/strongFLAT-RATE - the employee is paid per job instead of a salary or per hour./p pstrongResponsibilities:/strong/p ul liPerforms work as outlined on repair order with efficiency and accuracy, in accordance with dealership and factory standards./li liDiagnoses the cause of any malfunction and performs repair./li liCommunicates with parts department to obtain needed parts./li liSaves and tags parts of the job if under warranty or if requested by the customer./li liExamines assigned vehicle to determine if further safety or service work is required or recommended./li liCommunicates with service advisor/dispatcher immediately if additional work is needed, if work outlined is not needed, or if repairs cannot be completed within the promised time./li liDocuments all work performed and recommended on the repair order./li liRoad tests vehicles when required./li liParticipates in manufacturer-sponsored training programs, schools, and events./li liKeeps abreast of manufacturer technical bulletins./li liSupervises work of any apprentice technicians as assigned./li liReports machinery defects or malfunctions to supervisor./li liEnsures that the vehicle is kept clean. Notifies service advisor/dispatcher immediately of anything that has happened to change the appearance or condition of the vehicle./li liKeeps shop area neat and clean./li liMaintains and is accountable for all dealership-owned tools and manuals.
