Shift Schedule: 7:00 PM – 7:30 AM (3x12)
Hours per Week: 36–48 Hours Guaranteed
Weekly Gross Income: $2700- $3300/week

 

Role Overview

This Critical Care RN position requires strong ICU experience with the flexibility to float to PCU as needed. You’ll be working with complex patient cases requiring advanced monitoring and interventions in a fast-paced acute care setting.

Blended Roles and Responsibilities

• Provide high-acuity critical care nursing
• Manage patients requiring ventilator support
• Perform hemodynamic and ICP monitoring
• Administer medications, drips, and advanced treatments
• Monitor and respond to rapid changes in patient condition
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams for optimal outcomes
• Document care accurately in EMR systems
• Support patient and family education
• Float to PCU units as required

Unit Details

• Specialty: Critical Care / ICU
• Floating: Required to PCU
• Patient Acuity: High (vented, monitored, complex cases)
• Charting System: Meditech Expanse (preferred experience)

Scheduling & Work Environment

• Shift: 12-hour nights
• Weekend/Holiday Requirement: As needed
• On-Call: None
• Scheduling Notes:
• No block scheduling
• Must be flexible with assigned shifts
• RTO Policy:
• Max 5 days (must be disclosed at submission)

Requirements

Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years current Critical Care experience (REQUIRED)
• Experience with:  • Ventilators
• ICP Monitoring
• Hemodynamic Monitoring
• Willingness to float to PCU REQUIRED
• Strong clinical judgment and adaptability
• Must have own transportation

Certifications & Licensure

• Active Massachusetts RN License (REQUIRED at submission)
• BLS (AHA) – REQUIRED
• ACLS (AHA) – REQUIRED
• NIHSS – REQUIRED
• TNCC – Preferred
• BSN – Preferred

• Critical Care skills checklist (within 1 year)
• 1 supervisory reference (within last 2 years)
• All certifications and license documents uploaded
• Permanent address required
• All RTO must be disclosed upfront
