Job Details

• Contract Type: Contract

• Shift Type: Rotating (Day/Evening)

• Hours per Week: 36 Hours Guaranteed

• Candidate Pay Rate: $60/hr (Blended)

 

Blended Roles and Responsibilities

• Provide comprehensive nursing care to residents in a Long Term Care setting

• Perform detailed assessments and develop individualized care plans

• Implement and evaluate nursing interventions based on resident needs

• Serve as Charge Nurse and lead the care team during assigned shifts

• Supervise and support CNAs to ensure quality and compliant care delivery

• Administer medications and treatments, including emergency interventions

• Monitor for changes in condition and communicate effectively with physicians

• Coordinate physician visits and ensure continuity of care

• Educate residents, families, and staff on care plans and health conditions

• Maintain accurate and timely documentation in PointClickCare EMR

• Uphold infection control, safety protocols, and regulatory standards

• Participate in quality improvement and interdisciplinary care planning

Requirements

Qualifications

• Minimum 1 year of RN experience (LTC preferred)

• Prior Charge Nurse or leadership experience strongly preferred

• Ability to supervise, delegate, and manage a care team effectively

• Strong communication and patient advocacy skills

Education

• ADN or BSN required

Certifications & Licensure

• Active RN License (South Dakota)

• BLS (AHA) preferred

Knowledge and Skills

• Care planning and clinical assessment expertise

• Medication administration and IV therapy skills

• Leadership and team coordination

• Infection control and safety compliance

• Strong documentation and EMR proficiency
