Job Description
This is a remote position.
Summary:
Leading a team in the assembly, vacuum oil fill, testing, and repair/maintenance of transformers.
Responsibilities:
Perform hands-on assembly, repairs, and maintenance to transformers and substation apparatus equipment. This includes mechanical and electrical connections on or inside the transformer.
Must be proficient in completing all mechanical and electrical connections, operation of the oil processor, and completing a full battery of transformer tests (i.e. Doble, Megger, etc)
Maintenance services such as internal tank and LTC inspections, leak and gasket repairs, parts replacements, painting, and more
Oil processing such as vacuum filling, retro-filling, fuller's earth reclamation, degasification, dehydration, re-inhibits, including mineral oil, ester based and synthetic electrical insulating fluids, using large vacuum processing rigs and small portable processing equipment.
Assembly and dis-assembly of transformers for commissioning, relocation and de-commissioning.
Interface with the customer contacts throughout the project.
Supervising technicians and provide leadership throughout the project to support the team so that all tasks are completed safely, timely, and with the utmost quality.
Provide technical support and assistance to the sales team when needed for quote purposes.
Complete and submit all supporting documentation from the project accurately and timely.
Requirements
Experience required depends on whether you are applying for supervisory or regular technician roles, however, experience in transformers and substation apparatus is required.
Must be computer literate and continually display professionalism.
Must be willing travel away from home, driving or flying.
Must have a positive attitude, strong work ethic, and the desire to learn new skills.
Must be able to pass drug and alcohol testing.
Must have a clean criminal record check / ability to obtain security clearances.
Must be actively eligible to work in the United States
Experience in substation apparatus and transformer work required.
Experience using Doble and Megger test equipment is an asset.
Driver's license required; CDL license is a plus.
