Job Summary:
The Quality Technician is responsible for supporting daily Quality System operations including oversight of Receiving, In-Process and Final Inspections. Owning or supporting the Quality related Lab functions and inspections. Supporting Quality Leadership with new product launches as directed. This role plays a critical part in maintaining the integrity of the Quality System.

 

Key Responsibilities:

  • Participating in the corrective actions process.
  • Performing Receiving, In-process and Final Inspections.
  • Supporting the calibration of Quality and R&D Lab equipment.
  • Supporting Internal Audits per schedule and direction.
  • Contributing to the generation of standard work instructions.
  • Become the subject matter expert for inspection devices and teaching others.
  • On-site support at the customer if required. (Travel may be necessary)
  • Follow all company safety policies, mandatory PPE requirements, and operational guidelines.
  • Participate in 5S, Kaizen, and other continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Perform additional duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

  • 1-3 years of hands-on Quality experience in a manufacturing environment.
  • Understanding of product prints and tolerances. GD&T a plus.
  • Skilled at performing Dimensional Inspections when needed.
  • Willing to be trained as an Internal Auditor.
  • Ability to understand and follow process Control Plans.
  • Ability to train others if needed.
  • Basic computer skills (ERP systems, Excel, data entry).
  • Capable of supporting the Corrective Action process.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with shifting priorities.
  • Ability to lift up to 30 lbs. and perform frequent standing, walking, and bending.
  • Experience supporting manufacturing or industrial production workflows preferred.
  • Exposure to 5S and continuous improvement practices is a plus.

 Work Environment:

  • Manufacturing plant setting with varying temperatures and noise levels.
  • Frequent standing, walking, bending, and lifting.
  • Mandatory PPE required per facility policy

 

The work environment will be a mix of a typical warehouse environment, a manufacturing floor and a construction site.   Noise level: Normal warehouse, manufacturing and construction noises.
