Physical Therapist - Travel Contract - Now Hiring

Looking for a change of scenery and a chance to help others. Provide physical therapy services to home health patients across Lady Lake, FL. The role involves evaluating patient needs, developing and updating plans of care, delivering therapeutic interventions for neuromuscular, neurological and orthopedic conditions, educating patients and families, ordering and adapting durable medical equipment, and collaborating with an interdisciplinary team. This assignment requires documentation of POCs, progress notes, and phone orders, adherence to infection control practices, and the ability to perform physically demanding tasks in home settings.

Minimum Qualifications

• Bachelor’s, Master’s, or Doctoral degree in Physical Therapy from a program approved by the American Physical Therapy Association or equivalent accrediting body.
• Current, active Florida Physical Therapy license required to start the assignment.
• Current CPR certification required.
• Valid driver’s license, reliable transportation, and proof of vehicle insurance required. Ability to travel locally and visit patient homes.
• 1–2 years of experience as a Physical Therapist in acute care or rehabilitation settings required.
• Ability to perform heavy lifting, bending, pulling, pushing, prolonged standing and walking required.
• Must demonstrate effective interpersonal and communication skills and be able to read, write, and speak fluent English.
• Must meet mandatory continuing education requirements.

Preferred Qualifications

• Previous home health experience preferred.
• Bachelor of Science in Physical Therapy from an APTA-approved program preferred when applicable.

Assignment Details

• Works in home health settings serving patients in Lady Lake, FL and nearby communities.
• Must be able to travel locally between patient homes.
• May be required to oversee or direct other team members in patient care when applicable.
