Essential Job Duties:

Respond to calls for assistance that involve medical and/or injury at special events to include sporting events. Respond to fire/ haz-mat related incidents as requested, mitigate bio-hazards as required, assist advanced life support personnel as needed, complete all paperwork required / requested by the University Fire Marshal.Please note this position is as needed and primarily utilized for home football games.

Minimum Experience/Education:

High School diploma or GED , minimum of one(1) year experience in responding to fire and/or medical incidents in a volunteer and/or paid position, N.C. EMT certification required with Wake County EMS affiliation (no exceptions) , Haz-Mat Operation plus certification preferred, and NIMS 300 preferred. N.C. EMT Certification with Wake County EMS affiliation required.

Department Required Skills:

Physically able to provide emergency medical care to the sick or injured that requires ifting, moving, physical agility etc;, physically able to climb steep steps multiple times if required, physically able to carry a medical bag with supplies to provide medical care.

Preferred Years Experience, Skills, Training, Education:

Training in Special Event populations, experience with patient triage in large scale events.

Required License or Certification:

N.C. EMT Certification with Wake County EMS affiliation

Valid NC Driver's License required?:

No
