Job Opportunity Position Overview

We are seeking a skilled CT and X-Ray Technician to join our team. This position involves performing both X-Ray and CT imaging in a fast-paced environment, primarily focused on adult acute care and emergency department settings.

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct X-Ray and CT imaging procedures for various patient populations including adults, pediatrics, and geriatrics.
• Perform routine and specialized imaging exams such as Heads, Chests, Abdomen/Pelvis, and vascular CTA studies.
• Prepare and administer contrast media as needed for imaging procedures.
• Start peripheral IVs for patient care and imaging requirements.
• Utilize PACS and Siemens equipment to ensure high-quality diagnostic imaging.
• Work collaboratively with medical staff and contribute to patient care in the emergency department and inpatient settings.

Shift Information

This position entails a night shift of five consecutive 8-hour workdays from 11:00 PM to 7:00 AM.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 2 years of recent experience in CT and X-Ray imaging, with a focus on emergency and inpatient care.
• Current certifications: ARRT (Radiography), BLS, and New York State License. Preferred certifications include ARRT Advanced Certification and ARRT CT.
• Experience with portable imaging required.
• Familiarity with charting systems, particularly Epic, is preferred.

Preferred Experience

• Community hospital experience is a plus.
• Skills in performing imaging on various body parts, including extremities, abdomen, spine, pelvis, chest, thorax, and musculoskeletal areas.

Patient Care

The technician will primarily care for patients from the emergency department and inpatients, with some outpatient examinations during the day. Typical examinations include basic X-Ray studies and routine CT scans as well as more complex studies like CTA of the head/cervical region and pulmonary embolism assessments.
