Position Summary:
The Central Registration Coordinator serves as the first point of contact for potential clients and referral sources, ensuring all calls are responded to promptly and professionally within 24 hours. This role is responsible for documenting inquiries, completing initial contact forms, verifying insurance eligibility and authorizations in collaboration with the Billing Office, and directing referrals to appropriate services or external facilities when needed. The position also supports reporting, record-keeping, administrative projects, and other departmental tasks to ensure efficient office operations.
Key Responsibilities:
- Responds to all calls from potential clients and referral sources on a daily basis or within 24-hours of the call.
- Documents all calls that come in to Central Intake and make recommendations for referral to another facility when appropriate. Access to information and referral materials will be provided.
- Completes all Initial Contact Forms and checks insurance eligibility and authorizations in collaboration with the Billing Office.
- Provides reporting, statistics and other data to staff and management as requested.
- Assist administrative department in projects as needed.
Qualifications:
Required:
- A High School diploma or GED.
- 1-2 years’ experience as a receptionist, administrative assistant or other office work. A commitment to customer service and client contact is required. Experience in human services or working in a physician’s office preferred
- Bilingual. Attentive to details and organized.

Summary of Benefits:
- Salary Range: $21 - $21.50
Based on years of experience, level of education, specialty and licensure/certifications. Additional Compensation for advanced education for qualifying positions.
