Service Desk Support Specialist Registry - Part-time

Position Summary: Conducts 1st level problem determination and solving of user problems or questions in a courteous and friendly manner. Troubleshoot computer problems and determine source and advise appropriate action. Logs all calls to Track-It. Backup Computer Operator. 

Essential Duties and Responsibilities: 

• Conducts 1st level problem determination and solving of user problems or questions in a courteous and friendly manner. 

• Logs all calls in Track-It. 

• Responds to hardware problems reported to the Help Desk. 

• Assumes responsibilities of the computer operator when needed. 

• Monitor online systems for problems 

• Processes jobs according to daily schedule and distributes reports from jobs 

• Monitors Help Desk 

• Responds to hardware problems as they occur 

• Has excellent customer service skills 

• Has excellent written and verbal communication skills 

• Has basic PC computer, Windows, and printer skills 

• Promotes a clean and safe environment of care, utilizing the SAFE error prevention habits  

• Provides the highest standard of privacy and confidentiality in matters involving patients, coworkers, and the hospital by abiding by the Standards of Conduct 

Required Qualifications:   

Education and Training: 

• High School graduate or equivalent. Associates of Arts in Information Systems or Technical certifications preferred.  

• Minimum of 5 years of computer or help desk experience preferred.  

• Experience with Cerner Millenium preferred.  

• Clinical background or understanding of healthcare IT environment preferred, but not required.
