SUMMARY
The Clubhouse Event Setup team member is responsible for working with the maintenance team, even coordinators, security team and AV to support the overall excellence of events. This role performs a wide range of setup and maintenance tasks across the clubhouse, residences, and grounds, ensuring all areas are clean, organized and well-maintained. The position plays a critical role in preserving the Club's standards, appearance, and traditions while providing timely support for special events.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
- Setting up events, including arranging tables and chairs, installing event equipment.
- Cleaning up events, including removing temporary furniture and equipment.
- Monitoring events for security and maintaining a tidy event space, such as removing garbage or cleaning tables.
- Perform general maintenance and preventive maintenance such as light bulb and filter replacements, coil cleaning, etc.
- Support recreation facilities which include shooting, club, pool facilities, fish hatchery, golf and fitness operations.
- Ensure workshop and maintenance areas are kept safe, clean, and well-organized.
- Respond promptly and effectively to member priorities and emergencies as needed.
- Complete errands assigned, including transportation, deliveries, and postal services.
- Lead by example with a self-motivated and proactive approach to duties, identifying and addressing needs without direct supervision.
- Respects the Club's customs and traditions and works to preserve Rolling Rock Club as a "quiet country English Manor".
- Other related assignments as necessary.
- Maintains regular, consistent and reliable attendance.
QUALIFICATIONS
Required
- Experience in general maintenance, preferred but not required.
- Ability to safely use hand tools, power tools, and maintenance equipment.
- Strong attention to detail with a focus on safety and preventative maintenance.
- Ability to follow direction and complete tasks efficiently with minimal supervision.
- Strong attention to cleanliness, organization, and safety.
- Following guidance and direction from senior management effectively, efficiently, and appropriately.
SKILLS
- Basic problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work both independently and collaboratively as part of a team.
- Physical capability to perform manual labor, including lifting, climbing, and prolonged standing.
- Proactive mindset with the ability to identify maintenance needs before they become issues.
- Fundamental time management skills and ability to multi-task and prioritize work, both with a team and independently.
- Ability to problem solve and react quickly to any issues which arise during a shift.
PHYSICAL DEMANDS
- Ability to lift, carry, push, and pull up to 50 pounds regularly and occasionally more with assistance.
- Ability to stand, walk, bend, kneel, stoop, and climb for extended periods of time (8-10 hours per shift).
- Ability to work in a variety of environments, including indoor and outdoor conditions, and exposure to varying temperatures.
- Ability to safely use ladders, stairs, and maintenance equipment while working at heights.
- Manual dexterity to operate hand tools, power tools, and maintenance equipment.
- Ability to perform repetitive motions such as lifting, reaching, and carrying.
- Visual and auditory ability to identify maintenance issues and responds to alarms or equipment malfunctions.
This position is part-time, 24 - 32 hours per week, and during the months April - October.
