pbstrongSupervisor:/strong/b Custodial Supervisor, Buildings amp; Grounds Administratorbr /bstrongRate of Pay:/strong/b $15.00 per hourbr /bstrongWork Schedule:/strong/b Part-time (4 hours) and Full-time availablebr /bstrongLocation: /strong/b Multiple openings; location to be determined/ppbr /bstrongSummary:/strong/b Under supervision, keep assigned buildings, classrooms, and office spaces clean and orderly; perform custodial tasks in the care of floors, furniture, walls, and equipment; carry out minor grounds maintenance and general gardening tasks; operate small power custodial and grounds equipment; perform related work as required.br /br /bstrongQualifications / Experience/strong/b/polliHigh school diploma/GED or related experience./liliKnowledge/experience with basic methods, materials, and equipment used in custodial work./liliExperience in operating, using, and maintaining custodial equipment./liliExhibits the ability to abide by all necessary safety precautions and procedures./liliPossesses basic computer skills to check emails and work tickets./liliUnderstand and carry out oral and written instructions./liliAbility to lift up to 50 lbs./liliAttention to detail./liliAbility to work flexible hours/location as needed (summer hours, cover for absence in another building)/liliAccess to reliable transportation./liliEstablish and maintain effective relationships with those contacted in the course of work/liliAbility to work independently or as a team./li/olpbr /bstrongEssential Duties and Responsibilities/strong/b/polliWork with supervision completing tasks and responsibilities as directed by night lead and/or 2nd shift supervisor/liliWear District-issued shirt, proper attire (closed-toed shoes, etc.), protective gloves/clothing./liliSafely and appropriately, use cleaning materials, disinfectants and equipment./liliClean classrooms/offices, bathrooms, and halls/stairwells including wiping desks, tables, sinks, counters, other surfaces./liliAttend to general custodial duties such as basic plumbing, sick student, spills, water/mud tracked in, etc./liliVacuum carpeted areas/liliCollect garbage and recycling, dispose of accordingly; replace trashcan liners./liliClean and sanitizing washrooms and drinking fountains./liliRefill soap dispensers, paper towels, toilet paper as needed./liliClean/mop floors, including when necessary, stripping, spraying, waxing, buffing, polishing, vacuuming and shampooing./liliOperate power equipment including auto-scrubber./liliSet-up and break down for school and afterschool activities./liliWash windows inside and outside./liliWash walls and ceilings (cobwebs)./liliWater plants./liliDust/polishing furniture./liliNotify lead/supervisor for needed repairs or when low on supplies./liliInspect section for cleanliness prior to shift ending./liliCheck/lock windows and doors./liliPerform all necessary summer cleaning tasks for the building./liliMove furniture as needed for cleaning./liliAbility to float between buildings as needed./liliAbility to assume the duties as the Night Lead in his/her absence./liliParticipate in District mandated training programs/professional development./liliOther asks as assigned by the Principal, Night Supervisor and/or Department of Buildings and Grounds administrator./li/olpbr /bstrongPhysical Abilities and Working Conditions of Employment/strong/b/pulliVision: (which may be corrected) to read small print and see small objects./liliHearing: (which may be corrected) to hear sounds which warn of potential danger; analyze sounds of equipment operation; and determine operating efficiency and needed repairs. Have tolerance to be exposed to noisy conditions and custodial equipment./liliUpper Body Mobility: use hands and fingers to feel, grasp, and manipulate small objects; manipulate fingers, twist and bend at wrist and elbow; extend arms to reach outward and upward; use hands and arms to lift objects; twist and bend at torso; turn, raise, and lower head/liliLower Body Mobility: to walk on even and uneven surfaces; bend at waist; stoop; stand for prolonged periods of 4 hours; and step over objects./liliStrength: to lift, push, pull, and/or carry objects that weigh as much as 50 pounds on a frequent basis./liliSmell: to distinguish strong odors./liliEnvironmental Requirements: be exposed to harsh chemicals; work alone; work inside as a primary assignment; and perform shift work./liliMental Requirements: to read and write English at a simple level; operate utility turn-off mechanisms and operate security systems; respond to emergencies; learn quickly and follow verbal procedures; follow a schedule; and perform duties without on-site supervision./li/ulpbr /bstrongApply: /strong/bApplicants should complete the online application and upload all supplementary materials electronically.
