Job Summary:

We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Operating Room Technician (OR Tech) to join our surgical team for a 13-week contract in Aberdeen, WA. The OR Tech will play a critical role in supporting surgical procedures by preparing the operating room, maintaining sterile environments, and assisting surgeons during operations.

Key Responsibilities:

• Prepare and maintain the operating room for surgical procedures
• Ensure all surgical instruments and equipment are sterilized and ready for use
• Assist surgeons and nurses during procedures by passing instruments and supplies
• Maintain a sterile field throughout surgical procedures
• Anticipate the needs of the surgical team to ensure efficiency
• Handle specimens according to protocol
• Clean and restock the operating room post-procedure
• Adhere to all safety, infection control, and hospital policies

Requirements:

• Minimum 2 years of recent experience as an OR Tech
• Certification as a Surgical Technologist (CST) preferred
• BLS (Basic Life Support) certification required
• Strong knowledge of surgical procedures, instruments, and sterile techniques
• Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment
• Excellent communication and teamwork skills
