· Number of Beds: 90 (30 are inpatient rehab beds)
· Number of Staff: n/a
· Type of Staff: pharmacy hours Monday-Friday: 7 am-10 pm; Sat-Sun & holidays: 8 am-6:30 pm
o Day Shift: 7 am-5:30 pm or 7 am-3:30 pm
o Night Shift: 11:30 am-10 pm or 1:30 pm-10 pm
· Patient Ratios: n/a
· Type of Equipment: Dose Edge, Pharmacy Stars, VigiLanz
· Documentation System: Meditech Expanse
· Call Requirements: closing pharmacist takes call
Typical Hiring Profile
Must have: (includes certifications and special skills, ex: ACLS, BLS, NIH)
· Current Florida Pharmacist License
· Sterile compounding experience
List Typical Procedures Performed on Unit(s):
· Renal Dosing, IV to PO conversion, electrolyte management
· Vancomycin/Aminoglycoside dosing
· TPN dosing (Clinimix)
· Antimicrobial de-escalation
· Medication counseling as requested
· Medication verification
Additional Preferences: (ex: previous travel experience preferred, easily adaptable to fast paced unit, can function well independently)
· Can work independently
· Ability to effectively communicate with medical and nursing staff
· Ability to oversee technician(s) and while performing duties
