Job DescriptionThe MRI Technologist is responsible for performing MRI scans to assist with diagnostic procedures. The role includes preparing patients for exams, operating MRI equipment, and ensuring patient safety throughout the imaging process. This position may require floating to additional campuses and involves weekend and holiday shifts.
Responsibilities- Conduct MRI procedures efficiently while maintaining patient comfort and safety.
- Ensure proper positioning of patients to achieve high-quality imaging results.
- Monitor patients during scans and respond to any concerns or needs.
- Administer contrast media as needed and comply with protocol standards.
- Maintain imaging equipment and ensure compliance with safety regulations.
- Document patient information and maintain accurate records in the electronic charting system.
- Current New Jersey license
- ARRT MRI and Radiography certification
- BLS certification
- A minimum of 1 year of MRI experience
- Experience with Epic charting system preferred
