Description
American Traveler is hiring an experienced RN for a Step-Down (HVTI) position at a major academic medical center in Cleveland, requiring at least 18 months of step-down experience and rotating day/night shifts.
Details
- Work in a cardiovascular/thoracic step-down unit (HVTI-Stepdown) within a large hospital setting
- Potential to float to other units caring for the same patient population
- Rotating day and night shifts: 7:00 AM–7:30 PM and 7:00 PM–7:30 AM
- Schedule is 3x12-hour shifts per week
- PCU/progressive care experience is preferred but not required
Requirements
- Active OH RN license or compact state RN license currently in hand
- Current AHA or American Red Cross BLS, ACLS, and NIHSS certifications required
- Minimum 18 months of permanent (non-travel) experience in step-down nursing prior to any travel experience
- Minimum 18 months of recent step-down experience (travel experience accepted)
- Valid driver's license and Social Security card required for consideration
Additional Information
- Two professional references are required for consideration
- ECG rhythm recognition and safeMedicate assessments must be completed during orientation, with acceptable scores required on both
- Must be available to work at least every other holiday
- Travelers may not exceed 18 consecutive months at any Cleveland Clinic location, and must wait a minimum of 6 months before starting another assignment at any Cleveland Clinic location
