About the Position

TransForce is seeking CDL-A Drivers to support Regional operations based in Riner, VA. This position offers steady work, reliable scheduling, and the opportunity to work with a driver-focused team.

Pay & Schedule Details

• Pay: $75k - $90k per year
• Schedule:
  • Sun-Fri during peak season
  • Mon-Fri during off-season
  • Usually 2nd shift start times
  • 3-4 layovers per week on average during peak season (spring & summer)
  • 2-3 layovers during off-season

Job Details

• Route Type: Regional
• Freight / Load Type: Wholesale nursery/landscape supplies (plants, flowers, herbs, vegetables, etc.)
• Equipment: CDL-A tractor trailer, dry van & reefer, automatic
• Handling: Light touch

Key Responsibilities

• Safely operate equipment on regional or local routes
• Transport wholesale nursery products to landscapers, landscape contractors & architects, independent garden centers, and distributors/re-wholesalers in accordance with DOT and company safety standards
• Complete pre-trip and post-trip inspections
• Maintain accurate logs and paperwork
• Communicate effectively with dispatch and operations
• Assist with loading/unloading as needed, using rolling cages or hand carts/dollies if required

Minimum Requirements

• License: CDL-A
• Experience: 3+ years of recent, relevant, and verifiable driving experience
• Clean Motor Vehicle Record (no major traffic violations or preventable accidents in the last 3 years)
• Must meet all DOT and FMCSA requirements
