This is a full-time, 40-hour position; requires weekend and evening hours
Assists mobile team with the set-up and take-down of the mobile clinic site, including picking up vaccination/medical equipment from designated hospital Assists Operations Manager with patient flow; greets arriving patients and directs to appropriate location as needed Welcomes patient and registers/updates registration in EPIC Assists the Provider and/or Nursing staff with patient care during the visit including
- Conducting blood pressure checks
- Collecting specimens and performing CLIA-waived tests according to protocol, including but not limited to:
- Blood (phlebotomy)
- Finger sticks (HbA1c point-of-care testing)
- Assisting with clinical documentation relevant to patient visit on EPIC as directed
Documents testing/results and other critical data per protocols; uses appropriate flow sheets and screening forms for chronic disease management Assists the Provider and Nursing staff with work outside the visit including but not limited to
- Conducting follow-up care post-visit as directed (such as communicating test results to patients as directed by a provider or nurse, scheduling patients for follow up visits, and performing check-ins for patients placed on chronic disease management plan)
- Faxing, mailing, or calling in prescription renewals as directed by the prescribing provider and under the supervision of the prescriber
Maintains neat, clean, and safe exam rooms and treatment areas
- Assures patient care areas are neat, clean, professional-looking
- Assures exam and treatment areas are properly stocked, equipped, and secured
- Assures all equipment is in good working order
- Cleans exam rooms and equipment after each patient use per protocol
Promotes customer satisfaction by interacting with patients in a professional, friendly manner consistent with their needs
- Recognizes and respects cultural diversity
- Adapts communication to the patient's understanding
- Employs professional telephone and interpersonal techniques
Functions as an integral part of the mobile health care team
- Interacts in a professional, cooperative way with other staff
- Accepts and delegates responsibilities in a positive manner

- Attends and participates in practice staff meetings
Performs other tasks (when not "in the field") as delegated by Operations Manager
REQUIRED
- Ability to be self-sufficient and take initiative
- Excellent critical thinking skills
- Excellent communication skills
- Ability to be flexible and adept to last minute changes as it pertains to scheduling, workflow, and other operational logistics
- Ability to work evening hours and occasional weekends
- Comply with established risk management and safety procedures
- Comply with all local, state and federal privacy and confidentiality rules and regulations
- Sound judgment and problem-solving ability
- Ability to prioritize tasks in a complex and busy environment and see them through to completion
- Accuracy and attention to detail
- Maintain or obtain CPR certification and participate in site-based CPR drills (may be obtained through onboarding)
- High School Diploma or Equivalent
PREFERRED
- Bilingual candidate in Spanish is strongly preferred
- Experience working with diverse populations and community organizations
- Phlebotomy training
Previous clinical experience working as a medical assistant, EMT, home health aide, or nursing assistant is preferred
This position entails a significant amount of time in a mobile/community environment. While much of the work may take place on the mobile clinic (van) there are duties performed outside and adjacent to the mobile clinic. It will be necessary to dress for varying weather conditions as needed. The position requires the ability to commute to and from site locations and also work remotely as required.
