Description
American Traveler is seeking a licensed Physical Therapist with at least 2 years of experience for a 13-week travel contract covering both inpatient and outpatient settings at a medical center in Colorado.
Details
- Works across inpatient and outpatient settings, including swing bed patients
- Monday through Friday schedule, 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM
- Occasional weekend coverage required for inpatient and swing bed evaluations
- Patient population includes pediatric, adolescent, geriatric, and general patient populations
- 13-week contract
Requirements
- Minimum 2 years of physical therapy experience required
- Degree from an accredited Physical Therapy program required
- Current Colorado PT license required (license required if applicable)
- Manual dexterity required to operate equipment and provide hands-on patient assessment and treatment
- Ability to lift and maneuver patients and equipment of 20 lbs or more, with or without assistance
- Visual and hearing acuity required to receive patient feedback
Additional Information
- Responsibilities include evaluation, consultation, and treatment of patients across multiple care settings
- Responsible for progressing patients toward prior level of function or maximum medical improvement per Plan of Care
- Maintains patient records including progress reports, daily notes, and special reports
- Supervises Physical Therapist Assistants (PTAs), as well as professional and supportive staff, volunteers, and students
- Reports directly to the Rehabilitation Department Manager
- Fast-paced work environment with frequent interruptions and occasional extended hours based on patient need
