DESCRIPTION OF WORK
As a Food Service Worker, you will perform routine meal preparation, serve appetizing meals, and maintain a safe, clean, and pleasant dining environment at Southwestern Veterans' Center. You will be responsible for cleaning and sanitizing equipment, utensils, dishes, pots, pans, work surfaces, and other kitchen items. You will also prepare plates, measure portions, serve food, and transport trays and carts. This position requires frequent use of common kitchen equipment, such as mixers, dicers, slicers, knives, and grinders. In addition, you will complete inventory sheets, record resident meal counts, and help decorate the dining area with holiday themes.

Work Schedule and Additional Information:
- Full-time employment, 40 hours per week
- Work hours are 1st shift (6:00 AM to 2:30 PM), with a 30-minute lunch. You will work alternating weekends and holidays.
- Telework: You will not have the option to telework in this position.
- Salary: In some cases, the starting salary may be non-negotiable.

- Previous food service worker experience
Legal Requirements:
- A conditional offer of employment will require a medical examination.
- This position falls under the provisions of the Older Adult Protective Services Act.
- Under the Act, a conditional offer of employment will require submission and approval of satisfactory criminal history reports, including but not limited to, PA State Police and FBI clearance.
