Description
American Traveler is hiring a travel RN for an Interventional Radiology (HVI Procedures) position requiring a minimum of 3 years of nursing experience and Epic EMR proficiency.
Details
- Vascular Interventional Radiology unit within an acute care hospital setting
- Procedures include peripheral vascular work, venous central lines, tube changes, embolization (arterial and venous), and venous thrombectomy; neuro IR experience is ideal
- 4x9-hour day shifts, 7:30 AM–5:00 PM
- 36 hours per week
- Weekend and holiday coverage via call-only rotation
- No floating requirements
Requirements
- Minimum of 3 years of relevant RN nursing experience
- ASN required; BSN preferred
- Valid Illinois RN license in good standing (temporary license accepted); license required if applicable
- BLS, ACLS, and PALS (all American Heart Association) required
- Epic EMR experience required
- Level 1 Trauma experience required
- Experience with venous thrombectomy, moderate sedation management, and hemodynamic monitoring
- Proficiency with supplies and equipment used in IR procedures
Additional Information
- Administer medications and manage patient care during moderate sedation procedures
- Monitor hemodynamics throughout procedures and provide accurate procedural documentation
- Candidate must reside more than 50 miles from the facility to be eligible
- RTO not to exceed 7 total days per 13-week contract
- Candidates who have been on continuous assignment at this health system for 1 year must take a 6-month break before returning to any location within the system
- Candidates will be interviewed by the facility leader prior to selection
