Bakers & Cake Decorators

$15–$22/hour based on role and experience — and that's before tips. Our tip share adds an average of $2–$3/hour on top of your base pay. You get paid weekly via direct deposit. Full-time and part-time available.

Pearl's Bake Shoppe is Richmond's premier bakery and pastry shop, and we're hiring for both our bake team and our decorating team. Whether you love crafting beautiful custom cakes or baking everything from scratch every morning — no mixes, no shortcuts — we want to hear from you.

Cake Decorators — Decorate custom cakes and cupcakes for weddings, birthdays, and special orders. Work with buttercream, fondant, and specialty finishes. Collaborate with the bake team to keep production on track.

Bakers — Bake cakes, pies, cookies, brownies, cupcakes, biscuits, and croissants from scratch daily. Prepare fresh breakfast items each morning. Manage your bake list and keep inventory stocked.

Both roles — Follow food safety and cross-contamination protocols. Help with deliveries, restocking, and keeping the kitchen running smoothly.

What you get:

• $15–$22/hr + $2–$3/hr tip share, paid weekly
• Full-time is just 36 hrs/week. No late nights. Closed on major holidays.

Required qualifications:

• 2+ years of experience in the food & restaurant industry
• Legally authorized to work in the United States
• 18 years or older
• Able to stand for duration of shift
• Able to comfortably lift 40 lbs
• Available to work: early morning
