About the Role
We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Diesel Service Technician to join our dynamic team. In this role, you will be responsible for diagnosing, repairing, and maintaining a wide range of heavy-duty diesel-powered equipment. Your expertise will ensure that all machinery operates efficiently, safely, and reliably. Our technicians work on the repair of aerial lifts and telescopic ladder systems, high-output pumps and flow systems, electrical and hydraulic systems, structural weldments, drivetrain and suspension systems, annual service and inspections, welding and fabrication, and more.
What You’ll Do (Day-to-Day)
- Perform inspections, maintenance, and repairs on equipment and related systems
- Diagnose and repair defective components such as pumps, hoses, valves, and electrical systems
- Test and calibrate systems to ensure they meet safety and performance standards
- Conduct preventive maintenance tasks, including lubrication, fluid changes, and filter replacements
- Complete annual services and detailed inspections
- Perform welding and fabrication as needed
- Maintain accurate records of work performed, parts used, and equipment serviced
- Stay current with advancements in equipment technology and industry standards
- Collaborate with team members to prioritize repairs and optimize maintenance schedules
- Follow all safety protocols and maintain a clean, organized work environment
What You Bring
- Strong work ethic and commitment to quality and safety
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Preferred: 1+ year of experience in heavy truck, equipment, or automotive repair
- Backgrounds in heavy highway trucks, heavy equipment, material handling equipment, or automotive are highly valued
- Basic understanding of engines, transmissions, braking systems, and electrical systems
- Experience with hydraulic and electrical systems preferred
- Welding and fabrication experience is a plus
- Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills
- Attention to detail in documenting work performed and parts used
Schedule & Work Environment
- Full-time, Monday–Friday
- Overtime opportunities available
- Occasional overnight travel may be required, depending on job location
