Job Description

Job Description
Description:

Are you a Speech-Language Pathologist who values connection, collaboration, and truly patient-centered care? Our skilled nursing facility is seeking a compassionate, motivated SLP to join our interdisciplinary team and make a meaningful impact in the lives of adults and older adults.

We believe clinicians do their best work when they feel supported, respected, and empowered — and that’s exactly the environment we’ve built.

Why You’ll Love Working Here:

Supportive, Collaborative Culture

- You’ll work alongside a warm, experienced therapy team that values open communication, shared problem-solving, and celebrating wins together. We believe in mentorship, teamwork, and creating a workplace where clinicians feel seen and appreciated.

Manageable Caseload & Realistic Expectations

- We prioritize quality over quantity. You’ll have the time you need for thoughtful evaluations, individualized treatment planning, and documentation — without overwhelming productivity pressure.

Flexible Scheduling

- We understand that life happens. Enjoy a schedule that supports work–life balance while still providing consistency for your patients.

Competitive Pay & Strong Benefits

  • Negotiable pay, based on experience
  • Full benefits package, 401k with match
  • PTO and paid holidays
  • CEU support
  • Opportunities for leadership and specialty development

Room to Grow

Whether you’re building expertise in dysphagia, cognitive-communication disorders, dementia care, trach/vent/PMV training or student mentoring, we want to help you become that expert clinician.

A Values-Driven Environment

Our facility is grounded in empathy, dignity, and patient-centered care. We’re looking for clinicians who share these values and want to make a real difference in the lives of older adults.

Requirements:

What You’ll Do

  • Provide evaluation and treatment for adult/geriatric residents with communication, cognitive, and swallowing disorders
  • Collaborate with PT, OT, nursing, dietary and medical staff to deliver coordinated, holistic care
  • Develop individualized treatment plans that honor each resident’s goals and abilities
  • Maintain accurate documentation with adequate time built into your schedule
  • Participate in care planning meetings and family education as needed

What We’re Looking For

  • Master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology
  • Current VA SLP license, CCC
  • Passion for working with older adults
  • Experience with IDDSI diets and dysphagia is preferred, though we can train
  • Strong communication skills and a team-oriented mindset
  • Commitment to compassionate, evidence-based care

Ready to Join a Team That Truly Supports You?

We’d love to meet you. Apply today and discover a workplace where your expertise is valued, your voice matters, and your work changes lives.
