Direct Counsel is representing an Am Law 100 firm seeking a mid-level associate to join its Commodities and Derivatives Regulation and Enforcement Practice in the firm’s New York office.

About the Role:
This is an exciting opportunity to work with a leading financial regulatory and derivatives group advising top-tier investment managers, financial institutions, and FinTech/crypto innovators. The role covers both regulatory and transactional matters, including:

• Compliance with Dodd-Frank, CFTC, and SEC regulations

• Structuring and negotiating derivatives transactions involving commodities, interest rate swaps, FX, and credit derivatives

• Advising on futures and emerging areas such as crypto trading platforms and digital asset compliance

What We're Looking For:

• 3+ years of experience with commodities, futures, or derivatives transactions

• Strong transactional background; regulatory experience a plus

• Admission to the New York Bar or eligibility to waive in

• A desire to work in a collaborative, fast-paced practice focused on cutting-edge financial products
