Special Education Teacher

Overview

We are hiring a strong Special Education Teacher to support 12th grade students at our High School. The ideal candidate is organized, relationship-focused, and confident supporting students through graduation-year coursework and transition planning.

What You Will Do

• Provide direct instruction ELA aligned to student needs and IEP goals
• Support co-taught ELA courses in collaboration with general education teachers
• Facilitate/support a College Seminar period focused on readiness and student success
• Deliver accommodations and modifications with fidelity
• Support progress monitoring, documentation, and team collaboration
• Participate in meetings and communicate professionally with campus stakeholders

Qualifications

• Active Illinois PEL (or eligible) with Special Education endorsement
• High school experience preferred, especially ELA support
• Strong communication, organization, and collaboration skills
• Ability to start ASAP and commit through June 6
