Job Title: Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) – PRN
Location: Jena, Louisiana
Facility Type: Nursing Home / Long-Term Care Facility
Weekday rate: $32.00
Weekend rate: $34.00

Position Overview:
We are seeking a compassionate and dependable Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) to join our team on a PRN (as-needed) basis. This position offers flexible scheduling with availability for both day and night 12-hour shifts. The ideal candidate is committed to providing high-quality care to residents in a long-term care setting and thrives in a collaborative environment.

Shift Availability:
  • PRN (as-needed)
  • Day Shift: 6:00 AM – 6:00 PM
  • Night Shift: 6:00 PM – 6:00 AM
Qualifications:
  • Current Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) license in the state of Louisiana
  • Current CPR certification (or willingness to obtain)
  • Previous experience in long-term care or skilled nursing preferred, but not required
  • Strong clinical skills and attention to detail
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work flexible PRN shifts, including weekends and holidays as needed
Requirements:
  • LPN license in Louisiana or "Compact" Multi-License
  • 1+ years of recent nursing experience preferred
  • Must be eligible to work in the United States
  • BLS

Responsibilities
  • Provide direct nursing care to residents in accordance with care plans and physician orders
  • Administer medications and treatments accurately and safely
  • Monitor and document residents’ conditions, reporting any changes to the supervising RN or physician
  • Assist with daily living activities to ensure resident comfort and dignity
  • Maintain accurate and timely documentation in compliance with facility policies and state regulations
  • Collaborate with interdisciplinary team members to ensure quality resident care
  • Respond promptly to resident needs and emergencies
