Special Education Case Manager

Job Summary
SchoolHouse Staffing is hiring a full-time Special Education Case Manager for an in-person position at CICS Basil in Chicago, Illinois. This role supports a caseload of approximately 15 students and is responsible for ensuring special education services are delivered effectively and in compliance with state and federal requirements. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, collaborative, and passionate about student success.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage and oversee a caseload of approximately 15 students with IEPs
• Ensure IEP compliance, service implementation, documentation, and timelines are met
• Coordinate and lead IEP meetings with families, staff, and service providers
• Collaborate with teachers, interventionists, and related service teams to support student needs
• Monitor student progress toward IEP goals and adjust supports as needed
• Maintain organized, accurate, and timely student records
• Support the development of individualized academic and behavioral plans
• Help ensure all special education processes align with district, state, and federal guidelines

Required Qualifications

• Active Illinois PEL with LBS1 required
• Grades K8 endorsement required
• Bachelors degree in Special Education or related field
• Strong knowledge of IEP development, compliance, and case management responsibilities
• Experience working with students with disabilities in a school-based setting
• Excellent organizational, documentation, and communication skills

Preferred Qualifications

• Prior case management experience in a K8 school setting
• Experience coordinating multidisciplinary teams and family communication
• Strong understanding of special education compliance procedures
