Role Overview

We’re seeking a skilled Plumbing Designer to join a collaborative design and construction team delivering high-quality, code-compliant plumbing systems for commercial and mixed-use projects. This position works closely with project managers, engineers, and field teams to translate concepts into coordinated, build-ready plumbing designs using AutoCAD and Revit.

This role is ideal for a designer who understands how drawings turn into real installations, brings strong California code knowledge, and enjoys solving coordination challenges before they reach the field.

Key Responsibilities
  • Review architectural and MEP plans to establish coordinated plumbing design bases

  • Create and manage detailed plumbing layouts, including risers, isometrics, and coordinated models

  • Develop construction-ready drawings, schedules, and installation details for fabrication and field use

  • Assess routing, clearances, and constructability during design development

  • Prepare quantity takeoffs and material lists to support procurement and prefabrication efforts

  • Collaborate with project management and field teams to resolve design conflicts and incorporate field conditions

  • Support jobsite coordination through site walks, verifications, and design clarification as needed

  • Maintain current drawing sets, revisions, and design updates aligned with project progress

  • Ensure all designs meet California Plumbing Code requirements and internal quality standards

  • Contribute technical insight to support smooth transitions from design through installation

Qualifications & Experience
  • 5+ years of plumbing design experience within commercial or multifamily construction environments

  • Strong command of California Plumbing Code and industry-standard design practices

  • Proficient in AutoCAD and Revit within a deadline-driven design setting

  • Proven ability to convert architectural concepts into coordinated, buildable plumbing systems

  • Comfortable communicating across design teams, project management, and field operations

  • Field plumbing or jobsite exposure strongly preferred

  • Valid California Driver’s License and willingness to visit project sites as required

What’s Offered
  • Competitive pay aligned with experience

  • Comprehensive medical, dental, and vision coverage

  • 401(k) plan with employer contribution
