Job Title: Heavy Equipment Mechanic
Location: Grand Rapids, MI
Shift: 1st Shift
Pay: Up to $32/hr. (Based on experience)

Job Summary:
We are seeking an experienced Heavy Equipment Mechanic to inspect, service, and maintain a fleet of heavy-duty construction equipment. This role involves diagnosing mechanical issues, performing repairs both in the shop and in the field, and ensuring equipment reliability and safety.
Key Responsibilities:
- Perform routine inspections and preventative maintenance on heavy construction equipment
- Diagnose and repair engines, hydraulic systems, electrical systems, and related components
- Utilize computer-based diagnostic tools to troubleshoot issues
- Complete repairs both on-site and in the shop as needed
- Follow all safety protocols to protect employees and equipment
- Accurately document services, repairs, and maintenance records
- Provide after-hours or emergency support when required to minimize downtime
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or GED required
- Minimum 3 years of experience as a Diesel or Heavy Equipment Mechanic
- Strong knowledge of diesel engines and heavy construction equipment
- Experience using diagnostic software and tools
- Ability to lift and handle heavy equipment components
- Valid driver’s license
- Strong communication skills and ability to work in a team environment
- Willingness to work overtime as needed
