Position Summary
The Litigation Paralegal supports attorneys in all phases of personal injury litigation by managing filings, discovery, deadlines, and case documentation. This role plays a critical function in ensuring compliance with court rules and maintaining organized, litigation-ready case files.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist with drafting, reviewing, proofreading, citation checking, and tabling legal documents
- Communicate professionally with clients, experts, courts, and defense counsel
- Prepare and file documents in state and federal courts
- Support attorneys throughout all phases of litigation
- Manage and calendar court deadlines and appearances
- Propound and respond to discovery requests
- Maintain accurate and organized electronic case files
Required Qualifications
- Minimum of 3 years of civil litigation paralegal experience
- Strong knowledge of California civil procedure and court rules
- Experience with electronic filing in state and federal courts
- Familiarity with California discovery rules
- Ability to work independently and within a team-based environment
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- High attention to detail and organizational discipline
- Comfort working in a paperless environment
- Ability to type a minimum of 40 words per minute
Preferred Qualifications
· Prior experience supporting personal injury litigation matters
