Job Summary:

We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Dental Hygienists to join our dental team. The ideal candidate will be committed to providing exceptional patient care and have a strong background in oral hygiene and preventive dental care. As a Dental Hygienist, you will be responsible for performing dental cleanings, educating patients on oral health, and assisting the dentist with various procedures.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Patient Care:

    • Perform thorough dental cleanings, including scaling, root planing, and polishing.
    • Take and develop dental radiographs (X-rays) as needed.
    • Assess and document patients’ oral health conditions, including gum health, and identify potential issues.
    • Apply preventive treatments such as fluoride and sealants.
    • Educate patients on oral hygiene practices, diet, and preventive care to improve overall dental health.
  • Collaboration:

    • Assist the dentist with various procedures, including preparing instruments and materials.
    • Review and update patients’ medical histories and treatment plans.
    • Communicate with patients to address their concerns and provide support for their treatment plans.
  • Record Keeping:

    • Maintain accurate and detailed patient records, including treatment notes and progress reports.
    • Ensure all documentation is up-to-date and complies with regulatory standards.
  • Practice Management:

    • Adhere to infection control and safety protocols to maintain a clean and safe clinical environment.
    • Assist with administrative tasks such as scheduling patient appointments and managing patient flow.
    • Stay current with advancements in dental hygiene practices and technologies.

Qualifications:

  • Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Dental Hygiene from an accredited program.
  • Valid state dental hygiene license and certification in CPR.
  • Proven experience as a dental hygienist, with a strong understanding of dental procedures and patient care.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to effectively interact with patients and staff.
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.

Preferred Skills:

  • Experience with dental practice management software.
  • Knowledge of advanced dental hygiene techniques and technologies.
  • Bilingual skills (optional, depending on the patient population).
